When I conceal carry I am still asked for money when walking down the street. I am still approached by bums, and I am still stared at and sometimes followed. I can't pull out my gun to shoo them away - that's brandishing and stupid.
When I open carry - they simply leave me alone and sometimes get up off the stoop and move away to another block. I don't have to do anything except mind my own business and continue towards my destination, amazingly uninterrupted.

My e-friend in Knoxville TN told me that after I urged her to start OCing ( I am BAD! LOL- I looked the TN laws up for her first of course), and she actually started doing it, that these bums that used to ogle her and ask for money or whatever annoying things they used to do, stopped cold once they saw her walk past OCing, and they haven't bothered her again. Though not too many other people have even noticed her doing it, and she certainly hasn't had any police come and heckle her about it ( Knoxville sounds pretty pro-gun). Basically the people we don't want to have to deal with ( criminals, weird or aggressive homeless people), notice the OC, and everyone else either doesn't notice, or they don't get alarmed ( except a few hopolphobes and some cops).
here's a pic Oleg Volk took of her
