If you want a .22lr pistol that looks cool (like a 9mm sig) and don't carry about how reliable it is, by all means get the mosquito.

If you want a really nice .22lr pistol there are a ton of options.

Hi-standard (they look like space guns and are amazingly awesome)
Browning Buckmark (one of the nicest .22lr pistol triggers I have ever used)
Ruger MK 2/3 (pain in the ass to clean, but a great gun nonetheless)

There are a bunch of .22lr revolvers that are really nice as well. The single six comes to mind immediately when I think of .22lr revolvers.
