Default Re: If You Have a Beer and are Carrying...

First, it is considered bad form to post a thread in all capital letters - it is considered the same as shouting.

Second, concerning revocations, the Uniform Firearms Act states the following:

Quote:
A license to carry firearms may be revoked by the issuing authority for good cause. A license to carry firearms shall be revoked by the issuing authority for any reason stated in subsection (e)(1) which occurs during the term of the permit. Notice of revocation shall be in writing and shall state the specific reason for revocation.
Reasons for revocation are as follows:
  • An individual whose character and reputation is such that the individual would be likely to act in a manner dangerous to public safety.
  • An individual who is a habitual drunkard.

Looks to me like one or two beers won't affect your license unless you do something really, really stupid. Character and reputation? Might be hard to make that stick absent any due process. One DUI won't get you classified as a habitual drunkard, although more than one might.

Packing heat? Don't get tipsy.
