Default Re: shotgun ammo in bulk?

It depends on what your idea of "bulk" is...

You wont save much of anything unless you are buying 250 rounds or more.

Cheap clay ammo is around $3.95 per box of 25. Remington 1 oz loads can be bought at Wal-Mart for this price. That comes out to around $40.00 per case plus tax.

RIO Ammo is pretty good stuff, and it is about as cheap as you will get when buying it by the case of 250 rounds. RIO's are around $34.00 a case. I'm not real familiar with Lancaster County, but I know that Shyda's in Lebanon and Tropp's in Elizabethtown both stock and sell RIO Ammo by the case.

You can by ammo by the skid load and save even more, if you have the extra cash up front.

To grab some quick ammo and go...I'd go for the Wal-Mart Remingtons'. But to save money and get a case...I'd buy the RIO's.

I shoot RIO Trap 32 ammo in my Browning Citori clay guns and RIO 28 gauge through my Citori 28. Great stuff that breaks birds when you do your part.
