I think that Bloomberg is enough of a pinko that he could draw votes from Hitlery, which would be good.

The only reason why this would backfire is that although Bloomberg is liberal, he's technically a Republican. Those that know little about him might assume him to be more conservative than he is. Worse, he could try and run on the Republican ticket.
