To the OP:

Just be aware that even though there is no "Gun Registry" in PA LEOs will still try to use the state police database as one.

I've already had to "prove" that my carry gun was rightfully mine after it was confiscated by Pittsburgh PD. When I hastled the guy in charge of the gun unit for them that it wasn't in NCIC as stolen and that he couldn't hold it he got pissed and said I knew too much about stuff.
