Default Re: LEO encounter at Home Depot in Allentown

I have to agree with the majority here - this was not a "good" encounter - multiple rights were violated and most likely some departmental procedures.

Definitely follow up with a complaint against the officer in whatever way Allentown handles complaints. The search of your wallet was WAY beyond anything that is allowed, even in a Terry stop.

The removal of your weapon was also not acceptable, as it placed all the people around you at risk of an N.D. Be sure to point this out when you make the complaint. The less a weapon is handled, the less chance of an N.D.

Good luck, and keep us posted!
