I noticed from other postings on this forum that some county sheriffs seemed to make a big deal about issuing a LTCF and always included those annoying "special instructions"... presumably because deep down in their hearts they really don't like the idea of OC (or CC) by private citizens, so they feel the need to offer instructions with additional 'rules' that don't really apply to the actual law.
Anyway, I just wanted to let the curious know how Lehigh's sheriff Ronald Rossi handles things.
Sheriff Rossi, we salute thee!

Ron Rossi is a retired PSP trooper. He spent many many years teaching safe driving at countless schools. I attended one of his sessions when I was in high school. His programs were first-rate. He was heard countless times on the radio with his safe driving commercials, especially during the Holidays. He was (maybe still is) a member of our parish. The guy is A-OK in my book. I chatted with him when I applied for my LTCF about a year and a half ago. Easy going, jokes around, and his department is second to none. He's held that position for some time, and he keeps winning elections. It appears that he has a pretty good rating with the residents of the county. I also had zero problems getting my LTCF. Rossi is one of the good guys.
