You're correct. As such, I find myself unable to support this person owning or carrying firearms.

I will say that whether a person is thought to be a criminal or a patriot frequently depends on one's viewpoint. It is possible to be both. The founding of our great country was accomplished by men who were thought to be criminals of the most reprehensible and ignoble kind by some, and admirable patriots whose example should be held as the standard to be followed by others.
