Wait for your revocation letter - once you have it, obtain legal counsel, and file your petition for review - the local court will review the revocation de novo - which means the Sheriff has to justify what he did.
This is not a lawsuit - it is an appeal of right provided in the Uniform Firearms Act. You will most likley prevail just as Greg Rotz did and the resulting press coverage will help ensure this does not happen again to anyone else.
