I almost grantee that he did nothing illegal. Unfortunately when I saw this a couple days ago I was unable to dig up the exact rules fro transporting firearms/handguns in Colorado, however I did turn up that Denver has been EXEMPTED from sate preemption!
Not just special rules like we have for Philly, but full on exemption - which in my mind is BS.
