Default Re: Dehumidifiers

I have had the same experience with that dehumidifier in my safe. The indicator turns pink, I recharge it and less than a week later, it's pink again. I chocked it up to living 5 feet from a lake. Then, I ran across a slightly larger model and figured, hey, with two I might be ok. The indicator on the larger one has only turned purple once in the month it's been in there. The smaller one's been recharged 3 times since then. I'm stating to wonder if the smaller one was ancient when I bought it or has some other problem? Anyone have any ideas? With the 2 dehumidifiers, the safe's humidity has been dead-on at 40% for 2 weeks, so I'm thinking I'm covered, anyway.
