They make this thing called the golden rod that you put in yorr safe. You stll have to plug it in, but it'll keep your guns from rusting.

Ditto ............. I have 2 large gun safes and all you need to run is golden rods to protect your guns. All safes should have one.............. desiccant is OK but you will be farther ahead to run a golden rod.
