Thanks very much that was extremely helpfull and now the hunt continues for a PE mod. 3 As it would apear I have one of the rare ones but the rifle is missing the PEM two ring scope mnt the lower has the six screw base and apears to be a 1936 early model thanks again for you help and again if you find where I can locate the upper portion greatly appreciated
