Not exactly related, but an example of misinformation:
In a recent conversation with my 26 year old cousin, "Wait, you mean you don't need a permit to own a gun?" Now mind you, her dad shoots service rifle competitions, has been to Camp Perry for National Matches, her uncle that lives about 15 minutes from where she grew up is an FFL. Just another example of how misinformed people become when the believe everything they hear. She was a little more receptive to re-education, but she isn't interested in guns. I even said something to the effect of " young single girl living alone, you should have a gun". Her reply was along the lines of, "I feel safe". How safe is Latrobe? I assume it's pretty safe, but thought her response was typical of reality ignorant people (sheep).

I think the founding fathers meant exactly what they wrote: the government should not make any laws restricting the RIGHT of the people to 'hold or retain in one's possession' and 'hold or carry' guns and other weapons that would allow them to keep their government in line.
