Talk about excessive force to the extreme!

I'm sure you're just exaggerating for effect, but that punishment does NOT fit the crime. Again they haven't been found guilty in a court of law. You've already tried, convicted and excessively punished them. Where is the justice in that?

Relax.
The punishment fits the crime perfectly, IMO. There is little in this world that carries the weight of responsibility as an oath to serve the public trust. While many who take on that responsibility today mouth the words and then instantly dismiss their meaning, doing so does not relieve them of the burden. It is the same as committing Treason. It involves being placed in a position of authority over the general population, and betraying them. It gets explained away too easily today with excuses of , they had a bad day- they are submerged in filth all day-they are stressed out-they blah blah blah. While you may have a vested interest in seeing things the way you profess to, it doesn't change the reality that abuse of power by law enforcement, breaks the oath they took. Taking an oath is serious business, or should be. But ahhh, you're right, I should relax, it is done everyday by the people we trust, so I should just get used to it and accept it. So, yeah, I guess your right, taking an oath doesn't mean anything today. Oh, but wait, that would be rectified by making a ridiculously harsh example out of someone caught breaking an oath, wouldn't it? I bet if it happened, you would certainly at least think two, or three times, before abusing your authority, wouldn't you?
But, I am probably wasting my time replying, as you see things in a very different way.
