Default Cooling down a rifle barrel?
Well, I went with the new AR to the range, cooked off a stack of M193 ammo... well, after 100 rounds or so, the barrel was HOT.

After another 50 or so rounds, it was closing time for the range... but the barrel felt hot enough to melt the case!

How do you cool off a rifle barrel? I presume just pouring water is a good way to warp it...
