actually, they are stopping selling guns due to constant license and paperwork problems and violations.
some stores have low sales, a lot of stores have "other " issues
its not cost effective fro tehm to eat up the profit selling guns when they just shell it back out in fines ad license loss due to having clueless folks selling guns.
got this flat out from a Walmart manager who knows the internal story(and months/years of internal notices about proper gun sales rules) versus the external press releases
