Default Re: My visit to the home of the National Tactical Invatational

Joe,

Sorry, I just noticed your questions today.

Quote:
Is there a max size?
No, not really. We haven't had a Study Group meeting I'm aware of that was so large that we had to turn people away.

A need to register early?
There is no early registration. If you are interested in studying and training with us just show up at 9am on the third Saturday of the month and when you enter the clubhouse let Jim know you're here for Study Group.

How many rounds should we bring? I'm assuming that I'll be able to use my SP101, though if not I can always bring the Security Six or Model 59. Cathy will not be seperated from her XD9. Though if it is as good as it sounds, we'll want to attend more and I may "encourage" her to shoot the course with the Security Six sooner or later.
Bring whatever you normally carry or train with. Bring a good holster. 200 rounds is plenty. Often our practical application drills go through less than that many.

The NTI/ATSA Study Group is not a formal "course". We are a collection of men and women who come together each month to study the craft during a morning lecture period, and we practice specific drills and shooting goals in the afternoons during practical application. This is not a course; consider it "continuing education."
