I like the power level, more on par with 9mm than .38 Special. The .357 with more than 110 grain hollowpoints I suspect would be more than I care to shoot. This provides a little less power than the .357, with what early reviews report is markedly less recoil.
Actually, I guess from a practical standpoint I can actually get the same thing by doing what I'm already doing and just hand loading the .357 to a level I like. But I'd still be shy that extra round, and a 20% increase in firepower isn't to be taken likely when you are already carrying a limited supply in the gun. And taking the practical approach doesn't give me an excuse to buy another gun
Edit: What this kind of reminds me of is the 9mm SP101 I owned a while back, as far as power goes. Except this has 6 rounds instead of the 5 I had in the 9mm, and I don't have to deal with the PIA full moon clips.
