Hmmm you could "spear hunt" with a bayonet, you can open a can of tuna or sardines, and you can roast hotdogs over a fire or make shishkabob's. I can think of a lot of uses for a bayonet.
Funny thing about firing from the hip, first there would be NO stock if this bullcrap were true, second the "pistol grip" would be on the top of the gun angled forward with the trigger at the tip of the grip, and third there would be NO sights on the firearm at all.
