Freudian slip???? I think you handled it very well. IMO, I think it would depend on how I was approached, as to whether I would just smile and cover up, or debate it. Whether the manager is full of crap or not, in the end, he could still ask you to go. I also don't get the whole "thin piece of cotton covers up bad gun and all is right in the world again", line of reasoning, but hey, what's logic got to do with gun fear?
