That test was not a salt spray test. The firearm was left in s salt-soaked wool sock for a week. This was after it had been burried in sand, sirt, rocksalt, vermiculite, bead blasting material, and mud. As you can see from the marks, this gun was also shot at several times.

The end of the story for that torture test was that the G21 still ran, even when dropped out of a plane!

Under normal use and abuse, it would be very difficult to get tenifer-treated steel to rust.
