Yes the 6.5 would need different mags as well. The only reason I mentioned the 6.5 is because according to the ballistics info I looked at it was a much better split between the 5.56 and the .308 than the 6.8 with better long range performance.

Originally I was interested in the 6.8 too. But when I saw the info on the 6.5 I thought it would be the better way to go. Although I still have not made the jump because of ammo costs. both the 6.8 and 6.5 are fairly expensive.
