IIRC, townships can pass ordinances on discharging weapons in city limits. Check up on that. Seems you have no neighbors to file noise complaints, so thats all I can really think of you'd have to sweat. But, you a seemingly gun friendly PD so I doubt that'd even be a problem.

Sure sounds like you'd be okay by my reading.

Edit: If its not on city limits, the discharge ordinance might not even go there. Is the land yours?
