Default Powder River Precision XD Striker Safety Lever

Is FARKING awesome!

This striker safety lever is "semi drop in" but I have yet to hear anyone say they've had to do any fitting. It replaces the factory safety lever and removes the majority of the take up and shortens the reset. With a modification in place to take out any overtravel (you can buy a replacement trigger bar at Pistol Gear or drill and tap your factory bar and put a set screw in) and your XD trigger pull with simply amaze you. I think the trigger from the factory isn't bad, but it's definitely different from a 1911. With this part and the overtravel mod, the trigger is just amazing. This part is less than $35.

Mine came in the mail today, it dropped in with no fitting/filing and after getting the set screw in place in the trigger bar, it was off to the range. Dry firing is just plain sweet and since I was used to the factory trigger pull, the first couple shots with the new trigger really surprised me. The take up is nearly gone, overtravel (trigger bar modification) is non-existent. I highly recommend this part as it will just plain amaze you what one part will do for your XD's trigger after an overtravel mod.

I don't have any pictures but there are a couple other threads going (here and here) with reviews, videos, and pictures. Other than the "creep" of how the XD's trigger is because of the sear being rotated out of the way of the striker, the XD's trigger now feels almost like a 1911 style trigger.

The best way to see the difference is to put an XD with the mod next to one that doesn't to compare the trigger pull, but even my wife, who has probably put less than 100 rounds through my XD noticed the difference.

For the 30 bucks and change whatever it is, this part is well worth it and dealing with Daniel has been perfect, kept me up to speed on when it went out and checked in with me throughout the way to see if the part came in and also answered all my questions.

See/Order it here.
