BTW, I really am looking for feedback here.
Regarding Excel - you have a good point - but - it is pretty expensive and this software is free. Also, even without considering cost, these products provide a nice structure and layout (rather than just rows and columns) for storing and reporting data (including pictures in mine - I don't know about the other) for those who do not want to go through the trouble of building an excel spreadsheet with that capability.
Also, unlike many of the other packages, mine keeps predefined lists of values so you do not have to keep typing the same value over and over again. In addition, unlike ANY of the other packages that I have seen, if you have a value that is not already in the pre-defined list you only have to type it once in the field where it belongs and my software remembers it and adds it to the list so you never have to type it again. The closest I've seen in other packages is that you have to go to a special list editor to add the values - I provide a list editor as well for corrections and deletions of values but you do not have to use it to add new values.
Finally, my software runs on Mac and Linux (without Windows emulators).
Those are just a few advantages over Excel that I think of off of the top of my head.
Thanks again,
Clay
