I own one, and like it. It does kick, and kick hard with full magnum loads.
But i got it more of concealability during those "lighter clothing" days. My biggest complaint with it out of the box, was the hogue grips while very comfortable the exposed frame made the recoil painful. (Worthwhile fix is the overmolded grips by Crimson Trace) But its a very easy to shoot gun using 38 specials. If you dont need magnium power stick with a J-Frame chambered in 38+P.
