Why do trafficked guns always have to be destroyed?
I would think, if the s/n is still legible (or a new one stamped on) we should have firearm public auctions "as-is" sales etc.
(Personally I would not want one used in a murder but someone else might not mind. Most would be 'not used or fired'.)
Granted, most would not be of good quality but there are some gems.
