Default Re: Hassled at the polls for OCing

I don't have anything new to report as "progress" in my appeal process, but thought it was time for another update on the donations I have received. As of today, I have received donations totaling $2206.33. This includes all payments received whether online or through the mail. Of that, PayPal has taken $71.27 in fees, leaving net donations of $2135.07.

I am personally covering any fees that are imposed by PayPal. This means that whether your donation is used toward my defense expenses or ends up being donated to the PAFOA site when the matter is concluded, your full donation amount will be preserved. Regardless of the total amount of donations received, I believe that I should share in the financial burden this matter requires, and do not expect the sacrifices made by each of you to let me 'off the hook'. When matters conclude, I will provide a detailed accounting of expenses incurred and what donation monies were used towards these expenses.

As previously mentioned, I was required to pay $1200.00 on 11/18, when I had my first meeting with my attorney. This leaves the fund with a current gross balance of $1006.33. This balance will remain untouched until I either receive a billing statement from my attorney showing a balance due, or it is requested that I make another lump sum payment in anticipation of ongoing charges.

For those of you that have sent funds via mail, they remain untouched in my safe. They will not be spent until such time as further payment is required by my attorney as noted above.
