I absolutely do not understand that. It says right on the document "License To Carry Firearms". That is its name, so what is so hard about calling it by the correct name? Especially for the sheriff's dept. Or even the abbreviation LTCF is fine, but not gun permit or carry permit!
By the way, I have an old LTCF of my dad's that was issued in 1984 and it was called "License To Carry Firearms" then.
It also has spaces for MAKE & MODEL OF WEAPON, CALIBER and SERIAL NO., all of which are listed as VARIOUS.
