For that matter, why do the same lame points keep getting put into every single thread here? I'm getting a little tired of hearing the "handguns are puny" argument. Earth is puny compared to the sun, but its what we have!
I am a huge snub fan and found my sp101 more accurate than I ever expected. Everyone can postulate whatever theory they want and look at whatever "ballistics" data they choose, but it generally comes back to some comparison of a 9mm +p+ round and a low to medium end .38 or .357. These are not good valid comparisons.
What i want to ask is we allow for some difference in opinion esp. when it comes to firearms and their effectiveness. We all carry what we feel is the most "effective" piece we can handle. Can't we just give our opinion and not always have to tear down someone on every thread?
As for the thread, I think Mrs. CJ should get a snub sp101 in 357 and shoot 38's out of it. It’s fun and carrying it will be like working out all day

Cool post, gonna rep ya for this one.
I guess I jumped in because he wanted a piece for his Mrs. I just thought I could be of some assistance from a girls point of view. And some of my experiences with some types of firearms. Maybe if this "banter" gets read by the Mrs. she could make a decision on what firearm to get, or not to get. Although these men have given great advice it might not be the best advice for a woman. I guess its a girl thing. I even pm'd him and told him I would meet up with him and Mrs. and she could shoot my guns (we live in the same county). If nothing else she could rule them out as a purchase. I really believe all these men are helpful. I have taken allot of advice from them especially i'm kind of a gun noob.
But, I must add, men love power and huge guns. Its a man thing.
All I know is that I envy anyone who can shoot a snubby all day long! They must have bionic hands!
I have a snubby. I'm keeping it. And dammit i'm gonna use it and practice with it till I blister.
Gotta get some band aids in my range bag
